Expert Tip. The Ilikai Hotel is only one of two hotels that has access to the Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon. Previously an area of stagnant water, the adjacent Hilton Hawaiian Village hotel transformed it into a beautiful lagoon that benefits from recycled ocean water five times hourly. Not only is the lagoon an enhancement to both hotels' landscapes, it also serves as a wading pond.
